978’ers League
The 978’ers League, created by NBA player Terance Mann, is a summer basketball league dedicated to giving young athletes ages 13–18 a safe, competitive, and fun environment to play the game they love.
Rooted in the Greater Lowell community, the league provides boys and girls the opportunity to sharpen their skills, showcase their talent, and build lifelong friendships on and off the court. Beyond the competition, the 978’ers League emphasizes character, teamwork, and leadership.
Thanks to the support of partners like Skechers Basketball, which generously provided over 160 pairs of sneakers to players and coaches, the league continues to remove barriers to participation and ensure that every athlete feels equipped and empowered.
The 978’ers League is more than just basketball—it’s about creating a positive, inclusive space where student-athletes can grow as complete players and as individuals.
