Eric Walcott is an International Development Specialist with over 25 years of experience working in state and local government, International Governmental Organization, US Congress and in the non-profit sector.  

Mr. Walcott has significant experience working in Africa and the Caribbean Region.  Mr. Walcott has led several country-wide studies with focus on Haiti, Guyana, Suriname and St. Lucia.  Some of his early works have been on reinventing government.  Mr. Walcott has written the Forward to the book published by the Brookins Institute: “Haiti in the Balance:  Why Foreign Has Failed and What We Can Do About It?”  

Mr. Walcott currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Development at the Institute of Caribbean Studies, a non-profit based in Washington, DC that focuses on Caribbean-American issues.  Mr. Walcott also serves as the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Home Health Association, a non-profit focused on Long-term Care advocacy.  

Mr. Walcott received his Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in Development Finance from American University.  Mr. Walcott holds Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Howard University with a concentration in International Affairs and French.  Mr. Walcott is a father of five and resides in Bethesda, Maryland.
